Roller Girlz & Fresh Meat at Wild Joe*s

Are you a fan of quad skates and war paint?  Growing up were you a roller queen, a rollerblading fanatic, or an adrenaline junkie?  Did you come see the Gallatin Roller Girlz bout it out at the fairgrounds this summer and thought while you were watching, “I could do that!”  Then roller derby might be the next best sport for you!

Gallatin Roller Girlz is hosting a ‘Fresh Meat and Greet’ evening at Wild Joe*s Coffeehouse on Wednesday, October 17th 5:30pm-7:00pm with league skaters on hand to answer questions on how to get involved.  A downtown pub skate will follow the event. Gallatin Roller Girlz is currently searching for women and men 18+ that are interested in skating and non-skating positions with the team.  Men 18+ are encouraged to skate with the league as referees. Through their ‘Fresh Meat’ i.e. new skater program, Gallatin Roller Girlz will train you to skate – no prior experience is necessary.  In addition, Gallatin Roller Girlz has several sets of ‘Try Before You Buy’ gear that they allow potential members to utilize before investing in equipment.
