Big Sky Wind Drinkers in conjunction with First Security Bank are proud to announce the 35th running their 5k and 10k road race, the Stampede (formerly Bozeman Classic). Starting with just 200 runners its inaugural year in 1979, this race has seen many milestones through the years, but none more important than its community turnout.

On Saturday, August 3rd, the Stampede race will host over 1,200 runners who will race from main street through Bozeman and back completing either the 5k or 10k races. The Stampede is a great family event that anchors the entire Sweet Pea weekend experience. This year, Bozeman Creek Family Health will be featuring a Super Hero themed costume contest with downtown dollar prizes. With generous Bozeman business involvement, the Stampede will also host a post race raffle, prizes for top finishers as well as great technical race t-shirts (available for sale).
