Big Sky Resort will open for the 2013 summer season on Saturday, June 8, 2013. Majority of the activities and amenities will be open in the Mountain Village. As the snow continues to melt away some activities will be weather permitting. Basecamp to Yellowstone activity center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until June 23rd. Peak season summer hours will increase to 8 p.m.

Lower mountain activities available opening day are the Nature Zipline Tour, High Ropes Course, Paintball, Laser Tag, Archery and Guided Hikes. Operating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) are the Giant Swing, Bungee Trampoline and the Climbing Wall. Due to weather conditions, late opening activities will be Lone Peak Expedition: Tram to the Top (weather permitting late June), Mountain Biking (estimated open mid-June) and Adventure Zipline Tours (estimated open mid-July). The Big Sky Resort Golf Course, Pro Shop and the Bunker Bar and Grill are currently open. Two upcoming tournaments are Par 3 Family Tee Challenge June 15th and the Firecracker Open on July 4th. Both tournaments are 18 holes, 4 person scrambles with no handicaps and include flag prizes, awards, and a BBQ to follow each event. Retail shops opening on June 8th are the new Big Sky Sports Iconic (Oakley and Resort logo wear), JP Woolies, Treasures, Provisions and Willow Boutique. Delayed openings will be the Different Spokes Bike Shop (opening with the bike trails) and Hungry Moose Market and Deli: On the Mountain (opening early-mid July).

Solace Spa and Salon will also be open seven days a week 9 a.m.-7 p.m. with all services available. The Wellness Studio offering daily yoga and fitness classes will open on Monday June 10th.

Restaurants open for service are Chet’s Bar and Grill (breakfast and dinner), Carabiner Lounge (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and Whiskey Jack’s (lunch and dinner). Opening June 15th is Yeti Dogs (lunch).
