Standing for What Is Right

Christianity in America has always been divided—first into denominations, then sects, and now splintered politics. The evolution of these disagreements has resulted in a church struggling to find unity in the face of party line extremism. In the third year of a highly contested presidency and a divided Congress, the church disagrees over our politicians, our laws, and the direction our country is heading. Is it possible that that the church has become so wrapped up in “issue” politics that it has failed to love our enemies, care for the poor, and embrace the character of Christ? This lecture shares a vision for a more relevant, more generous Christianity in America—a faith that moves beyond right and left, and keeps its focus on the love and renewal which comes from God.
