Gallatin County A Community Memoir

The Gallatin History Museum is creating a Community Memoir for the people of Gallatin County and Southwest Montana as they endure through the Corvid-19 virus. Residents of all ages of Gallatin County and visitors to the area are invited to write a letter reflecting on their personal experiences, observations and opinions during this crisis. Letters can be mailed to the Gallatin History Museum at 317 West Main Bozeman MT 59715 or can be placed in the “memory box”, located on the front porch of the museum. Hand-written letters are preferred but emails are accepted as well. Photos and drawings accompanying a letter are welcomed and would be most appreciated! Please include your children, students, or grandchildren to participate. In keeping in line with the museum’s mission to preserve, promote and foster the history of Gallatin County and Southwest Montana, this memoir will be archived in the museum’s Research Center for generations to come, a history that reflects on the struggles and the strengths of the people of Gallatin County. Letters may be submitted anonymously. There is no cost to participate in this project.
