Computer Classes

Class 1: Introduction. This class will introduce you to your first computer. We’ll talk about some basic functions of computer, its components, how to use the mouse, and log on. If you are already familiar with computers then this class is not for you.

Class 2: Internet Browsing and Email. In this class we’ll log on to the computer, open a browser and look at emails. We’ll talk about some basic safety while online and what you need to create an email address and how to come back and check it later.

Class 3: Microsoft Word: Word is a common tool for creating written documents. We’ll get you into word, talk about the various processes and functions, printing, formatting and editing the document as well as saving it, sharing and uploading.

Class 4: Navigating the Library and Further Resources: The content of this class might vary each month depending on the questions asked by attendees in the previous classes of that month but we’ll focus on using the library website, looking for books, placing holds, accessing online resources including further courses for learning how to use computer programs.
