Bozeman Doc Series: 399: Queen of the Tetons

On Thursday, April 18th, at 7pm at the Emerson Center, the Bozeman Doc Series and Gallatin Valley Earth Day will present the new documentary 399: Queen of the Tetons.

The film follows the life of the most famous bear in the world, Grizzly #399, as she attempts to raise an unusually large litter of four cubs to adulthood. Amidst a warming climate, human encroachment, and the looming threat of losing protected status under the Endangered Species Act, a mother bear makes increasingly unexpected — and consequential — choices to protect her family.

The screening be part of our annual Earth Day event and will be preceded at 5:45pm by a reception in the Emerson ballroom with food and drink, as well as Earth Day information and opportunities from event sponsors Gallatin Valley Earth Day, Broken Ground Permaculture and others. The reception will also feature our annual Bozeman Doc Series silent auction with items from sponsors such as Red Tractor Pizza, Bozeman Spirits, Reintegrative Massage, and many more.
