Volunteers sought to help MSU welcome back students
Bozeman — Volunteers are sought for the 11th annual Montana State University Move-In Day, set 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24. Volunteers from both MSU and the community will help move an expected 1,700 new students into their residence halls. Shifts are 2 1/2 hours long. Volunteers new to the event receive a free MSU vest. Members of the community who would like to volunteer for the student welcome event may call the MSU President’s Office, 994-2341, by Friday, Aug. 12. The community also is invited to attend Catapalooza, another MSU annual event that kicks off the beginning of the school year and begins on Move-In Day. Catapalooza, a three-day, fair-like event for new and returning MSU students, will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug 24-26 on the university’s Centennial Mall. More than 200 clubs, organizations, and businesses participate in Catapalooza, offering music, entertainment, food and give-away items. Groups from the community and campus have until Aug. 12 to register for a booth where goods, services and products can be displayed.
