MSU Students in Free Enterprise Need Business Partnerships for the Eco Mug

The MSU SIFE team (Students in Free Enterprise) is currently working to implement a reusable mug program in Bozeman. The goal of the project is to put an end to the use of disposable cup waste by using the Eco Mug. Users of the Eco Mug will be able to take their mug anywhere on campus, as well as to sponsor locations around Bozeman to receive a discount on their beverage purchases.

As a first step, and to make the biggest impact, SIFE plans to give an Eco Mug to every resident of the dorms; nearly 4,000 students. A slightly higher quality mug will be sold to anyone in the community that would like to receive the same benefits and branding of the Eco Mug. All of the profits from these sales will go back into improving the Eco Mug program and will be offered as grants to other sustainability projects at MSU.

SIFE is currently working with three major services on campus for the Eco Mug project: Auxiliary Services, the Sustainability Center and University Food Services. The SIFE team would also like to add Bozeman businesses to their partnerships. Participating businesses can participate in a variety of ways: by offering discounts at their location, selling the Eco Mug at their location, or promoting the use of the Eco Mug or any re-usable in any way possible. If you own a business interested in participating in the Eco Mug project please contact Zach Curtis at zachcurtis333@gmail.com, or by phone at 360-296-0067.
