Friends of KGLT is pleased to announce that it will be holding its third annual Music Swap on Saturday, November 16 at The Emerson Center Ballroom.  Last year over 250 music lovers attended helping raise over $3,000 for KGLT. This year’s event features some changes and offers several ways to participate.

Individuals, organizations and businesses wishing to sell music related merchandise may become vendors for $30 (Includes one 8-ft table; $10 per additional table.) and 10% of sales. Vendors sell and receive cash directly from purchasers, and are responsible for set-up and tear-down of their space.

New this year, Friends of KGLT is inviting all music related organizations and music production companies to be part of Music Swap. For $10 plus 10% of any sales, participants will share a table with another organization and will have the chance to promote their group, sell CDs and performance tickets, and meet music lovers of all ages and interests.

Finally, Friends of KGLT will be accepting donations and consignment. Vinyl, cd’s, instruments, sheet music, memorabilia and all things music related are being accepted. Consignment items and donations will be accepted Friday, November 15 from 4 to 8pm at The Emerson Center Ballroom. All consignment items and donations must be clean and in working order.

All proceeds will be donated to KGLT, Southwest Montana’s Alternative Public Radio Station. “The first two Music Swaps were a total success as well as a lot of fun,” said Ellen King Rodgers, KGLT’s General Manager. “This year we’ve looking forward to drawing a greater cross-section of the music community to the event.”

KGLT is a non-commercial, educational, community radio station located on the campus of Montana State University in Bozeman. Over 80 volunteer DJs host music programs featuring everything from jazz, rock, and bluegrass to classical, reggae and Americana. The station reaches out to the community in many ways beyond music programming including training volunteer disc jockeys, supporting non-profit organizations with free public service announcements. KGLT is supported financially by ASMSU, federal grants, area businesses, and listeners. Friends of KGLT was formed in 2002. The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization exist to provide financial support for the station.
