Log Jam to open State of the Art, 1,500 seat venue in Bozeman
Montana-Based Logjam Presents to Open New 1,500 Capacity Venue in Bozeman, Montana
Missoula, Montana (Thursday, May 24, 2018) - Montana-based promoter Logjam Presents has announced plans to develop a new 1,500 capacity concert venue and event center in Bozeman, Montana. The new facility will be located in Midtown Bozeman on the corner of North 7th Avenue and West Short Street, directly adjacent to the future RSVP Motel.
According to Nick Checota, owner of Logjam Presents, “We are very excited to expand into the Bozeman market. Logjam Presents has been looking at Bozeman for a few years, but was waiting for the right location. We feel North 7th Avenue is a great, centrally located spot that will allow many of our customers to walk and bike to concerts.”
Checota believes that Bozeman provides a great opportunity for a new concert venue and event center. “Currently Bozeman does not have an adequate facility that can accommodate artists who perform for crowds of 500 to 2,000 people, causing many artists to route past Bozeman. As a result, many Bozeman residents travel to Missoula to attend concerts. The new venue will allow Bozeman concert goers to to see their favorite artists in their own community.”
As with other venues that are owned and operated by Logjam Presents, Checota promises that the new Bozeman venue will provide a world-class concert goer experience in a state-of-the-art facility. “Logjam Presents takes a more personal approach than the large, national promoters. We believe that concert goers should experience music in a great venue, with great sound and production, and exceptional service. Logjam is a Montana-based, independent and privately held company with the sole focus on the concert goer and artist experience.”
Checota anticipates that the new venue will host approximately 80 concerts per year, routing many of the same artists that play the Wilma and Top Hat Lounge, two Missoula venues managed by Logjam Presents. In addition to concerts, the new venue will provide Bozeman with a unique facility for private functions, such as wedding receptions, corporate parties and community events.
The new venue will be tightly associated with the new RSVP Motel that is currently being renovated. According to Checota, “Our close connection to the RSVP Motel offers great synergies with the new venue. Concert goers who want to stay at a hotel when they attend a concert will have a great, boutique option directly next door.” Checota adds, “The new venue will also provide wedding parties and other large groups an alternative option to to the typical hotel conference center space.”
The new venue is slated to start construction late Summer and has a target completion of late Spring / early Summer of 2019.
