Bozeman Actors Theatre Announces World Premier of Haunting Jane Eyre
Bozeman Actors Theatre is proud to present the World Premiere of Haunting Jane Eyre by Heather Crisler and directed by Tessa Welsch. Opening on Friday, October 16, at 406 Cirque, this engaging production runs through Sunday, October 25.
Haunting Jane Eyre is a reimagining of the beloved Charlotte Brontë novel. When Jane Eyre stumbles through a storm and into a strange house, she encounters a mysterious young woman and is challenged to explain her story. As Jane’s tale unfolds, the boundaries between time and place begin to blur, and memory intertwines with reality. We are drawn into the familiar world of Jane Eyre, but this time with a new, unsettling perspective.
“We are thrilled to bring this incredible story to life for our local community,” says Colton Swibold, Artistic Director of Bozeman Actors Theatre. “It’s a piece that brings a beloved character into a new story. Our cast and crew has poured so much heart into the creative process.”
Bozeman Actors Theatre presents professional, thought-provoking, and adventurous live theater to our community through a mix of contemporary and classical plays. Last season, Little Women sold out and was extended to accommodate audiences, as was The Seagull. Other recent productions include True West, Arcadia, Murder in the Cathedral, and Born with Teeth.
Haunting Jane Eyre is directed by Tessa Welsch. Her most recent credits include Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Arcadia and Stand Stark Still: A Collection of Beckett Shorts.
