Gangbusters and Gato: a collaboration between and potter and a painter
Opening Reception:  Friday, February 14th 5-8pm
 
Tart celebrates its 7th birthday with an opening reception for two local artists working together in very different mediums. Potter Ryan Mitchell of Gangbusters Pottery and painter Allie "Gato" Buck joined forces to create a series of cups, plates and bowls, as well as individual work. Allie's fanciful, quirky drawings wrap around the sleek forms of Ryan's cups and bowls, proving that sometimes the best canvas is not a canvas at all. Unicorns, chickens, bicycles and sharks frolic in a big playful menagerie, creating fun and functional art.
The tarty party will also include prizes, a photo booth with Jessie Moore Photography, surprise guest appearances and tarty refreshments. Tarty apparel is both encouraged and rewarded. A percentage of the proceeds from this show will be donated to Bozeman's Warming Center, providing warm shelter to anyone in need.
