Gallatin Art Crossing's Monthly Lecture Series: Mitch Billiis

Local Sculptor Mitch Billis will present his stories, process and creations this February 17th at the Bozeman Public Library as Part of the Gallatin Art Crossing's Monthly Lecture Series.  Billis has been sculpting bronze for years in the Bozeman area, contributing his skills to the Gallatin Art Crossing in the form of the piece My Story, Located at the entrance to the Bozeman Public Library. Billis will present at 7 PM in the large conference room in the foyer of the Library. Admission is free and Montucky Cold Snacks will provide refreshments. Come enjoy the experiences and process of this well-established and unique artist as he displays his career and skills to benefit the local artistic community. The Gallatin Art Crossing invites you to enjoy this opportunity in the name of good times, beautiful art and community strength.

The Gallatin Art Crossing exhibit hosts a variety of sculpture introducing viewers to many artistic approaches. The goal of the program is to add at least one piece to the permanent collection each year and expand further throughout downtown, bringing unique works to optimal locations. This level of community involvement with art placed for the public's benefit encourages interaction.  The involved fundraising behind the GAC incorporates a variety of techniques and entities such as community challenges alongside the contributions of individuals and businesses in addition to hours of work from board members and volunteers.
