Gallatin Art Crossing Annual Reception & Celebration
The Gallatin Art Crossing is excited to announce our Annual Reception and Celebration on Saturday, August 16 at the Emerson Center for Art and Culture (North Lawn) at 6pm. This Reception is open to the public and is a celebration of our community effort as a unique outdoor sculpture exhibit. Located in downtown Bozeman, Montana, the exhibit hosts a variety of artwork, introducing viewers to many artistic approaches. Sculptures will remain downtown to be displayed for a minimum of one year. One of the goals of the Art Crossing program is to add at least one piece to the permanent collection every year. In addition to helping artists display and market their work, the Gallatin Art Crossing connects the public to an open voting opportunity through www.GallatinArtCrossing.com for the selection of the People’s Choice award every year.
This year, the Art Crossing is celebrating the purchase of the 2013 People’s Choice, Danny Krauss’ “Between Earth And Sky” along with five others being purchased by the program or private entity. Join us for this wonderful summer event and kick off the 2014-2015 Gallatin Art Crossing Installation, and over 60 pieces on display in Downtown Bozeman. The Art Crossing is also celebrating the recent merger of the Bozeman Sculpture Park and re-structuring with a combined Board of Directors and Advisory Board with more exciting news and updates to come.
