Trailblazers Trail Fair
GVLT is participating in an upcoming trails fair to give area residents an opportunity to celebrate local trails and volunteer for a variety of projects to help build and maintain the region’s trail system.
Representatives from the Gallatin Valley Land Trust, City of Bozeman, US Forest Service, Gallatin County, the Wilderness Society and a variety of trails stewardship and user groups will be on hand to share upcoming summer trails projects and how you can get involved.
The summer trails fair will kick off the season of stewardship activities, including National Trails Day. The trails fair builds on last year’s recommendations from the Greater Gallatin Trails Visioning project, which was funded by the Wilderness Society.
“A key goal identified in that project was the need to promote long-term trails stewardship through better coordination of volunteers and stewardship activities,” said Cestero. “This fair will be a fun way to bring everyone together at the start of the summer season.”
The Trails Fair kicks off with presentations from trails groups at 6:30 pm on Wednesday May 27th at the Lindley Center.
