How to Talk With Kids About Alcohol, Drugs & Other Important Things


As a parent or grandparent, if you could do one thing that would help your child suceed in school, live a healthier life, and develop to his or her fullest potential, would you do it? If “yes,” then its time to learn to talk with your child about alcohol, tobacco, illegal & harmful drugs. In this FREE 2-hour workshop learn about adolescent brain development; the impact of childhood experiences to good communication; Motivational Interviewing; and self-care for you. Find out how to clearly explain that using these substances can interfere with grades and cause problems in relationships with friends and tear families apart. The workshop will be facilitated by Jennifer Pazera of the Adolescent Resource Center. Guest speakers & Alcohol and Drug Services Counselors will be on hand to answer your questions!
