Wes Kirpatrick

Following the successful release of his sophomore solo album, Wes spent a good amount of time on the road. Touring with bands such as The Milk Carton Kids, The Wood Brothers, Martin Sexton, Storyhill, Sea Wolf, Bobby Long and Ben Taylor along the way. That time on the road inspired many songs for his follow up EP. “I like to write in hotels, planes, trains etc.” explained Kirkpatrick. “I travel by train as much as I can. I love the atmosphere on trains. It’s laid back and friendly during the day, and at night it makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time. In a sleeper car at 2am, sipping whiskey, listening to the train whistle and watching the world roll by, that’s when I would write”. With new songs piling up, Wes reached out to his fans to help fund the record, and they came through, exceeding the goal with time to spare. The uneasy feeling of loss or heartache haunts songs such as “Down” and “Begin Again”. “Remember When” carries a trip down memory lane and a chorus you won’t soon forget. The production features acoustic, electric and slide guitars, keys, upright bass, banjo, percussion and harmonies leaving clean lines for Kirkpatrick to get from point to point. Musically, Wes both polished and expanded his approach making Short Dream a successful leap for this Nashville based singer- songwriter.

Aaron Howard

Aaron Howard started performing as a backup violinist for pop/rock bands in Bozeman MT at the age of thirteen. By the time he was 15 he was performing in coffee shops, bars, and private parties. In 2002 he was in the studio for a month, recording his first EP - a success in Bozeman. Aaron began performing as a singer around the state, and built up a local fan base when his song "If Not Today" got some spins on a pop/rock station in Bozeman. Finally he spent eleven months in the studio, recording “The Things I Can’t Explain” a thirteen song pop/rock album, and Aaron Howard broke through. He’s sold nearly 1000 copies of his album since its release in late May of 2004; he has performed extensively in his region, and he is now preparing for a twenty city tour of the northwest US. "Aaron has a future in the music biz for sure, either as a singer-songwriter in the John Mayer/Gavin DeGraw/Jason Mraz tradition, or as a talented multi-faceted session musician.... but more likely, for both reasons."
