“Strange and Unusual”

The Montana State University School of Music will present a concert of "Strange and Unusual" music featuring the Percussion Ensemble and the Wind Symphony on Friday, November 13th 2015 at 7:30pm. Audience members will enjoy hearing a wide array of works performed live by MSU students and faculty in the newly refurbished Reynolds Recital Hall. Complementary tickets are available in advance by contacting bands@montana.edu

Parking at MSU is free on weekends. Tickets are available at the door for $5 for students and $10 for general.

The MSU WIND SYMPHONY is conducted by Dr. Nathan Stark who also directs the “Spirit of the West” Marching Band. As one of the three “flagship ensembles” supported by the School of Music, the Wind Symphony regularly presents new works, features guest performing artists, and plays some of the most difficult and spectacular pieces composed for wind band medium.

Montana State University has distinguished itself as one of the region's leading music institutions with a world-class percussion experience that encompasses all facets of percussion performance. The PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE represents the strongest student performers in the percussion area, led by MSU professor, Stephen Versaevel.
