9th Annual Bozeman Bluegrass Festival
Yep, it’s time for the 9th Annual Bozeman Bluegrass Festival at the Emerson, Saturday, November, 14th. Four fantastic Montana bands, great local pizza and great local beer, you know, the finer things of life. This year’s lineup is sure to knock your socks off.
This family friendly show is in the ballroom of The Emerson Cultural Center, and runs 6-11:30pm. Kids 12 and under are free.
Two of the bands are fresh new Bozeman groups formed in 2013. Both the Hollowtops and Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs will impress you with their youthful energy and talents. Veterans of the MT Bluegrass scene, the Bridger Creek Boys have ten years and well over a thousand shows of experience, and will stun you with their picking.
Headliners, The Lil’ Smokies, from Missoula, MT, have been hard at work for over 6 years. The fruits of their labor recently culminated with their win of the 2015 Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition. In October 2014, they were nominated by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) for Momentum Band of the Year and in 2013 they won The Northwest String Summit Band Competition.
This show is going to be awesome! Advance tickets are available at Cactus Records, $20. Enjoy Bridger Brewing beer, wine, and Red Tractor Pizza for your refreshments. See you at 6pm for the best bluegrass show of the year.
Cost: $20, Kids 12 and under are free
