Film: The Living Fire

The Bozeman Doc Series continues Thursday, January 7th, at the Emerson Center with the award-winning documentary, The Living Fire.

Set in the breathtaking Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine, The Living Fire is a captivating story of three generations of shepherds as they struggle to maintain their traditional life despite the changing world around them. The film chronicles life in their small mountain town and the shepherd’s four-month journey into the highlands to pasture their flock.

Stunning cinematography, rich sound design and charming, unique characters have made the film a gem of the 2015 festival circuit.

The film will be preceded by a sneak preview of the upcoming documentary Rewind to Fast-Forward and an appearance by the film’s local director, Sasha Neulinger.
