Tales From The Verge: Playing The Fool
Verge Theater continues our tradition of live storytelling with Tales From the Verge: Playing The Fool; two evenings of original stories, Friday and Saturday, April 8 & 9. Tales From the Verge: Playing The Fool will feature a collection of Bozeman actors, playwrights, comedians, and authors, recounting true stories from their lives in front of an audience. Touching, funny, embarrassing, exciting, thought-provoking and entirely true, performers Travis Wade Kidd, Harrison Jahnke, Susan Miller, Chuck Mulluk, host Ryan Cassavaugh, and others will explore the evening's theme of "Playing The Fool" in a series of short stories they never intended to tell in public.
The weekend will also feature, in the Verge lobby, a sneak preview of a special art series, Three Story Houses, coordinated by Community Art Bozeman. The art show features works by 28 local artists who were invited to create works on the theme, Three Story Houses. The idea of storytelling as a thread that connects divergent art styles and invites audience engagement was the inspiration for the show, according to organizer Marla Goodman.
Tales From the Verge runs one weekend only, Friday and Saturday, April 8 & 9, at 8 pm. Tickets are $14, and reservations can be made online at vergetheater.com or stop in at Cactus Records in Downtown Bozeman. Verge Theater is located at 2304 N. 7th Ave, in the strip mall across from Murdoch's.
