Baroque Music Montana presents a series of house concerts this May, Stilus Fantasticus – ‘Sonatas a 3 stromente’. This program features seventeenth-century zingers and sensual soothers from Bavaria and northern Italy. Musicians include Bozeman violinist Carrie Krause and the lovely Londoner Davina Clarke, featured soloists at the Leipzig Festival and Boston Early Music Festival. Other musicians include Seattle lutenist John Lenti and Greg Ingles on sackbut--a precursor to the trombone--likely marking the Montana premiere of the sackbut, played by international expert of this instrument. The program includes divine diversions by Biber, Bertali, Marini, Castello, and Schmelzer. Complete tour concerts are 7:30 on May 19th at the Shane Center in Livingston, May 20th at the Kania home in Shepherd, May 21 at the Coulter home in Helena, May 22 at St. Francis in Hamilton, May 23 at the Cyr home in Missoula, and May 24 at the Cikan home in Bozeman.
