Science on Screen

Dr. Jack Horner, World Renowned Paleontologist and recipient of the prestigious MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship joins the Bozeman Film Society for its Science on Screen (SoS) presentation of Steven Spielberg's jaw-dropping blockbuster, JURASSIC WORLD!  

Dr. Horner will introduce the film with Indominus Rex: Fact & Fiction of Genetically Engineered Dinosaurs - a fascinating look at the real science behind designing genetically modified hybrid dinosaurs. As scientific adviser on the Jurassic Park films, Dr. Horner also inspired the character of Dr. Alan Grant, played by actor Sam Neill. Retiring soon as Curator of Paleontology at Museum of the Rockies, don't miss your chance to hear the engaging Dr. Horner on stage for this very special event! Rated PG13, JURASSIC WORLD runs 123 minutes.Arrive early for Children’s Museum Bozeman STEMlab 3D dinosaur bone printing demonstrations!

JURASSIC WORLD is a collaboration with the Children's Museum of Bozeman STEAMlab (CMB) and the Blunderbuss Science and Maker Faire (04/28-04/30 at various locations around Bozeman.) CMB's STEAMlab 3D printing demonstrations upstairs in the Ellen Ballroom 1 hour before each screening, with kids receiving their own take home 3D dinosaur bone!
