Play: Jack and the Beanstalk - A Sister's Story

"Once a story is told, there is no telling where it may go..."  Experience the story of Jack and the Beanstalk in a brand new musical retelling of the classic adventure written by KYT's artistic director, Stacy Hostetter.  Jack is a quiet, shy boy, who stays close to home, yet longs to be noticed by the beautiful mayor's daughter, Rosalind. However, her attentions tend to go toward brave, handsome,( blustery), adventurous storytelling knights and never even notices Jack. But, with the encouragement of his plucky sister, Jessie, Jack's fortune changes as he finds himself on an adventure of his own, including climbing beanstalks and facing an unknown land filled with giants. Blues-singing cows, a very large magic fairy, garden gnomes, trolls, and more, join the traditional fairy tale characters for a story that is heartwarming and sensitive, yet keeps audiences laughing.
