The Kaleidoscope Players present "Robin Hood"

Taking inspiration and characters from the classic Robin Hood tales, the story brings to life the playful imaginings of 10 year old Bobby Fenton as he transforms himself into the “steal from the rich to give to the poor,” famous folk hero who uses his cunning and wits to help the poor peasants living in the land.  Bobby is joined in his thinking tree daydream by school friends who find themselves pulled one by one into his vivid imaginings until together they are soon on a merry romp through the forest of Sherwood and its neighboring village, Nottingham, playing the parts of Robin’s gang of Merry Men out to right wrongs, the arrogant, greedy, bad guy Sheriff of Nottingham and his band of dim-witted thugs, the spunky Maid Marian and her playful ladies in waiting, the poor village peasants and their kind shepherd, Friar Tuck, and a travelling jester and minstrel who add even more humor to the adventure.  Young Bobby Fenton, taking up the mantle of his brave hero Robin Hood, teaches the lesson that each person, whether old or young, can do his or her part in helping those less fortunate to make the world a better place to live.
