The Dedication Mass

Bozeman, MT: Adjacent to the campus of Montana State University, Resurrection University Catholic Parish will celebrate the dedication of its new church temple on Sunday, 23 October 2016. Originally founded as a Newman Center, an outreach to Catholic students on non-Catholic university campuses, we became a “full-service” parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena in the mid 1970’s. Since then we have grown into a community focusing on service to MSU students and those who would live the example of Jesus Christ to all people. As a parish bound to our bishop and his mission in seeking Christ in all, especially in the poor, we try to offer hospitality to all we meet. Known for music that blends contemporary and traditional Catholic hymnody, our worship is inviting, Gospel based and a continuation of a 2000 year Catholic worship tradition. As we have grown our old multi-purpose room no longer was able to support our ministries and our future plans. Blessed with a new 600 seat sanctuary we are now equipped to live our faith through our Catholic tradition for years to come. We will dedicate this new building with our bishop, George Leo Thomas, bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena on Sunday, October 23rd beginning with a ceremonial Native American prayer and blessings accompanied by drumming, and prelude music by our combined Resurrection University Parish choirs. All begins at 1:20pm.
