Humans have been hunting in the northern Rockies for thousands of years. Native people were subsistence hunters and today’s hunters are likewise interested in putting wild game on the table through the long months of Montana’s winter. Join us for an investigation of the hunting traditions of the Northern Rockies. From bison to elk, deer and birds we will look at hunting as a means of enhancing the local menu as well as helping to conserve and promote animal survival in our region.
