Unleashing the Power of Prevention for Reducing Adolescent Substance Use

Prevention is a science. The Risk & Protective Factor Model of Prevention is a proven way of reducing substance abuse and its related consequences. This model is based on the simple premise that to prevent a problem from happening, we need to identify the factors that increase the risk of that problem and then find ways to reduce the risks. Edward Sypinski Prevention Specialist with Alcohol & Drug Services of Gallatin County will be presenting findings from the DPHHS 2016 Montana Prevention Needs Assessment Survey results for Gallatin County. Class is free of charge.  For more information and to register, go to http://www.bsd7.org/students_parents/parent_university
