In this full-day workshop, participants will learn effective strategies for successful grant writing and leave with new ideas and actual writing samples that can be incorporated in their next grant proposal. 1. The Logic Model • What is it and why do you need it? 2. Prospect Research • How do you know who to ask and how much to ask them for? • How to identify a prospect • How to qualify a prospect 3. Grant Writing • How do you present your case and package your proposal? • Making your case for support: using stories and statistics effectively • Goals, objectives and outcomes: what’s the difference and how do you write them? • Evaluation plan: measuring the funder’s ROI • Pre-submission: getting your grant proposal ready to send 4. Post-Submission • Actions to take when you get the grant (and what to do if you don’t) FOCUS AREA: Foundation grants. TARGET AUDIENCE: Nonprofit staff and volunteers.
