Night Sky Photo Workshop + Photo Critique
Join a six hour workshop and one hour photo critique follow up so you are able to see and photograph the night sky in a new way. Details: Kick off the workshop Saturday night at F-11 Photo & The Print Refinery™ at 6pm with Marc Morris, Tamron USA instructor, for the National Park Night Skies Photography series. He will cover techniques for capturing your best sunset and night sky images. He will also cover light painting and lens selection. Morris will have Tamron’s full complement of lenses available to loan out to you for the entire night, including the award-winning 15-30 (FX and DX in Canon, Nikon, and Sony mounts). During the lecture, get great insight on lens selection, filters and helpful accessories that will accelerate your learning and photography process. At 8pm your group carpools to a private location located in the foothills of the Bridger Mountains. In the field you can develop newly learned technical skills and hone in on your vision. Shoot until 1am with the free loaner lenses from Tamron. Then, break for the night and return to F-11 Photo for a group slideshow and critique at 9am Sunday morning with donuts and coffee for you to enjoy! Share your favorite images along with any others you may have questions about. The shoot is rain or shine, so come prepared for whatever Mother Nature dishes out. Inclement Weather: In the event weather prevents photographing the night’s skies, there are several contingencies in place.
