'Walking Out' Premiere Hits Bozeman!

Bozeman Film Society is proud to open the five-day Montana Film Festival’s Roadshow Tour of Walking Out Sunday, October 15th at The Ellen Theatre, with guest appearances from cast and crew. There will be two screenings: 2:00 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. A guest reception will follow the evening presentation (details TBA). Other tour stops include Livingston, Helena, Deer Lodge and Missoula (special thanks to the Montana Film Office, IFC Films, The Lark Hotel and the Element Westin). In Walking Out, the anticipated new feature from Missoula directors Alex and Andrew J. Smith (The Slaughter Rule, Winter in the Blood), a teenager (Josh Wiggins) travels to rural Montana for his yearly visit with his reclusive father, Cal (Matt Bomer). A hunting trip meant to help them bond becomes a fight for life and death after a series of extreme events leaves them dependent on each other to survive. Based on a 1980 short story by award-winning writer David Quammen, Walking Out is infused with a deep reverence for the rugged beauty and harsh realities of the Montana landscape, strikingly captured by cinematographer Todd McMullen. The film also stars Bill Pullman, Lily Gladstone, Alex Neuestadter, Scott McMillion and Bart the Bear. Not Rated, the film runs 96 minutes.
