Fostering Family Support Training

The Family Support Team training is designed to educate the invited friends, neighbors or family members of the fostering parents about the unique challenges of fostering children from hard places and learn how to strategically support the fostering family. The fostering family should invite people relationally close to them and who would like to help them on their foster care journey. The goal is for a minimum of 5 other adults to be a part of your team. You can bring more or less than 5, but the more the merrier. This three-hour training will highlight the areas where support is needed for the family and how to be strategically helpful and not unintentionally hurtful. One of the greatest indicators of the success of foster parents is the amount of support they have. Advocate for yourself, your marriage, your family and your role as a foster parent by recruiting those close to you and creating your network of assistance.
