Sustaining the New West: Conservation Challenges, Conservation Opportunities
The West is now the fastest growing region in the country. How will our wide open spaces, pristine waters and abundant fish and wildlife fare under this pressure? And what about those overarching affects of climate change?
Hosted by Future West, this landmark event will put a spotlight on growth trends in the Northern Rockies and explore how they are impacting our landscapes and natural values. But we’ll also highlight exciting regional work that is overcoming these conservation challenges including successful efforts to manage exurban growth, outdoor recreation, highway development, and water resources, as well as adapt to the impacts of a changing climate.
Join us as we host an outstanding lineup of speakers from around the west who will explore these trends, share inspiring stories, and illuminate a conservation agenda for the 21st century.
