Cole & The Thornes Record Release Party

Cole & The Thornes of Bozeman, MT began with an infectious restlessness and a heart engraved with longing adventure. In
2013 the music started out with Cole Thorne on ukulele and Jordan Cole Rodenbiker on bass, a soulful, R&B infused, reggae-influenced duet. After a tour to Maui and a freight train music tour across the country, the band grew into a full bloomed seven piece group in the summer of 2016 when they added members Jelani Mahiri on afrobeat-inspired percussion, Andy Gavin on drums, and Aaron Banfield on Jazz guitar. The Thornes then added Daniel Wood on the pocket trumpet and Matt Sloan on saxophone, creating a playful horn section.
Cole & The Thornes have performed throughout Montana, playing at various music festivals such as Harvest Fusion, The Original Festival, and Groovin On. They are now releasing their debut album “Map Maker”, a collection of songs filled with funky grooves, sultry vocals, and empowering lyrics that encapture the true meaning of being in the now.

A group of nine friends hell-bent on having a dancing good time, Left on Tenth likes to play reggae/funk rock fusion grooves to keep everybody moving. The guys may be found in a downtown basement, in the Montana mountains, or anywhere in between. A wide range of songwriters ensures a variety of original material as well as an occasional cover stuck in the mix just for flavor.

Cost: $10-$12
