Legal Matters: At-Fault Suicide—Someone Must Be Blamed
Counselors, teachers, healthcare workers and other professional care providers will gain an overview of current legal issues following a self-inflicted death in this daylong workshop from MSU Continuing, Professional and Lifelong learning. We will discuss lawsuits following a suicide; expected grief reactions; and recent court convictions. We will also focus on the psychological significance of suicide notes. Attendees will be encouraged to consider their own attitudes about responsibility for identifying persons at risk and about the limits of prevention efforts. $149 includes Continuing Education Units for several licensed professions. http://eu.montana.edu/noncredit
