National Public Lands Day
Come be part of the region's most exciting trail project and celebrate National Public Lands Day (NPLD) at Copper City with Southwest Montana Mountain Bike Association (SWMMBA), REI and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
With all of the exciting work and significant progress made at Copper City trails, there will be lots of fun family trail, and land stewardship projects so grab your kids, neighbors, and friends. We will also be having a grand opening for several new trail segments and another yummy BBQ.
NPLD schedule:
7:45 Carpool meet up at fairgrounds parking, North entrance. Carpooling is encouraged.
8:30 to 9:00 volunteer sign in and project starts
9:00 Kids stewardship activities
12:00 Community BBQ and social meet and great
1:30 Community trail ride starting from the parking area and proceeding to new trails
Potential Copper City NPLD projects:
-New parking area finishing touches
-Jackleg fencing
-Kids Play area work
-Smoothing and finishing portions of new trail construction
-Trash clean up in new areas
