Our Yellowstone presents Doug Smith
Our Yellowstone is a unique series of arts and cultural programming, speakers, and exhibits in celebration of our First National Park.
Doug Smith, project leader for the Wolf Restoration Project in Yellowstone will present, “The Wolves of Yellowstone: Science, Stories, and Human Values.” Doug has studied wolves for over 20 years and was involved in their 1995 reintroduction into Yellowstone. Prior to Yellowstone, he worked with wolves in Michigan (Isle Royale National Park) and Minnesota. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Idaho, a Master of Science in Biology from Michigan Technological University, and a PhD from the University of Nevada, Reno in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology.
