2019 Gallatin Whitewater Festival
The festival has long been a part of the whitewater community in Bozeman since the original Gallatin Get-together in June 1978. Team River Runner Bozeman in partnership with the Gallatin National Forest will host this year! Come join us on June 29th for a day of whitewater fun and celebration of the great rivers in our backyard!
--9:00-10:00 am Registration at the 35 MPH Bridge on the Gallatin River
--10:00 am Mandatory Competitor meeting for all events except Community Raft Slalom
--10:30 am Gallatin River Downriver Race: a timed two mile down river race that takes competitors through the Mad Mile.
--12:30 pm House Rock Boatercross: a mass start sprint race from the Gallatin River Trailhead through House Rock Rapids.
--1:00 pm Community Raft Slalom check-in. Pre-registration required
--2:00 pm Community Raft Slalom, an event in which local river guides will lend a hand and a raft to pre-registered teams of five to six put together by local businesses and groups of friends.
—2:45 pm Upper slalom: A race that requires competitors to navigate gates on their way down stream on the upper class III section.
—430pm lower Slalom: top 20 competitors from the upper slalom a race that requires competitors to navigate gates on their way downstream from house rock to storm castle!
—5:00 pm Awards at the Gallatin River Trailhead
