For this performance we welcome a very special guest, cellist Tristan Hernandez, performing the first movement of Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C major. Tristan is the senior division runner up from the 2019 Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras’ Young Artist Competition. He has performed as a member of the orchestra in previous seasons, and we are thrilled to showcase him as a soloist. Haydn is paired with the famous and popular The Planets by Gustav Holst, presenting one man’s astrological approach to our universe.
