Writing Workshop: Fire on the Page: A Writing Playground

Registration is now open for a full-day writing workshop for educators called “Fire on the Page: A Writing Playground!”

Hosted by Montana State University’s Yellowstone Writing Project, which is in the Department of English in the College of Letters and Science, the workshop will focus on helping attendees find joy in writing for themselves and share that joy with their students. The workshop will be held 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Museum of the Rockies.

Teacher consultants from the Yellowstone Writing Project will partner with staff members from the museum and the MSU Library to help conference participants use their surroundings to maximize learning and writing potential. Teachers of all disciplines and grade levels are welcome to sign up, as well as principals and curriculum leaders who are interested in learning more about how writing builds and utilizes community.

Registration is $100 through Jan. 31 and $120 after. The fee includes the workshop, coffee, lunch and OPI renewal credits. To register, visit http://bit.ly/YWPELTspring2020.
