MSU American Indian Council Powwow CANCELED
It is with deep regret, due to concerns about the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation, the American Indian Council (MSU's Native Student Organization) and the Department of Native American Studies at Montana State University (Bozeman) announces the cancellation of this year's powwow, scheduled for April 10th & 11th, 2020.
Our powwow are intergenerational events that bring to Bozeman guests from all around the region and Canada. We are deeply concerned about the health of all our visitors, vendors, and participants, but particularly our elders, who are among the most vulnerable. Canceling the powwow seems the safest, most prudent course of action at this time.
The Powwow Committee does not intend to reschedule becaUse our first priority is the success of our students and a later spring date takes their attention away from preparing for final exams and end-of-semester papers and projects.
