This introductory drawing class will give you the tools necessary to draw realistically, based on careful observation of our immediate environment. No prior experience is necessary! We’ll explore line/edges, positive and negative shapes, light and shadow to create form, spatial relationships, a variety of materials, techniques as well as compositional considerations. These perceptual skills provide a solid foundation for drawing or painting any subject with confidence- still life, figure or landscape. Due to COVID-19, classes will be held outdoors with physical distancing for the protection of all attendees. Masks are required for discussions, demonstrations and use of the studio restroom.
