Bozeman Symphony presents: Ranch Around
The Bozeman Symphony presents a new outdoor concert series, Ranch Around, featuring chamber ensembles hosted by two of Montana’s most breathtaking venues. Join Music Director Norman Huynh along with musicians from the Bozeman Symphony and guest violinist William Hagan for this unique open-air concert experience as they perform Bach’s Partita No. 3 for solo violin, Stravinsky’s Octet for Wind Instruments, Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello, and Akiho’s Karakurenai. Local venues, the 1915 Barn and the Big Yellow Barn, will host the Ranch Around concert series for two hour-long programs exploring classical music outside the concert hall.
With the Bozeman Symphony’s postponement of its fall season, Music Director Norman Huynh is committed to uphold the symphony’s mission to provide live symphonic music to the community beyond the season subscription concerts. Ranch Around celebrates the picturesque landscape Montana has to offer, while providing a safe and controlled atmosphere for live performance. These exclusive outdoor concerts are limited to 50 guests per evening, and social distancing will be required.
“We are excited to be presenting live music again, especially in a time when we are yearning to come together as a community. Ranch Around will be a unique experience where you will be serenaded with some of the most timeless compositions ever written alongside majestic views only found in Bozeman,” said Norman.
Ranch Around concerts will be held at the 1915 Barn (4062 Johnson Road, Bozeman MT 59718) on Thursday, September 24th at 6:00 PM and at the Big Yellow Barn (9466 Springhill Road, Belgrade, MT 59714) on Friday, September 25th at 6:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased online at bozemansymphony.org, or by phone at (406) 585-9774. Tickets are $45.00 and will be on sale to season subscribers only from Thursday, September 10th – Monday, September 14th. Tickets will be open to the general public starting on Tuesday, September 15th.
