WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Are you tired? It's been a long road since March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic changed our lives. As nonprofit leaders, we give a lot of ourselves to our community and to our work. Sometimes, this giving can burn us out. There’s a new way to understand when and why we burn out and lose capacity. We will be engaging with the most important behaviors of resilient givers — those who can serve others beautifully through time.

OUR PRESENTER

Lorca Smetana is an expert in resilience who helps students and workers in high-stakes lives evade burnout, expand resilience skills and grow as leaders. She holds an MA in diplomacy and is on the faculty in Human Leadership Development at Montana State University. She is a TEDx and keynote speaker whose clients include hospitals, universities, agencies, schools, companies and non-profits. A survivor of mountaineering tragedy, Lorca has been teaching and learning for over thirty years about risk, personal sustainability, resilience, and joy.

Cost: FREE for Gallatin County nonprofit board members, staff, and volunteers
