GVLT National Trails Day 2021

National Trails Day is our largest trail volunteer project of the year. We’re still paying special attention to concerns around COVID so while we are hosting in-person volunteer projects on June 5th, National Trails Day, they’ll be smaller projects in a general area that will require advance sign up, rather than one large project. Tuckerman Park is turning 20 years old! To celebrate, we have identified a series of projects to keep the park, and the nearby trails, in tip top shape. Due to COVID precautions, projects are capped and registration will be required. We will not be hosting our annual picnic celebration after the work as we would in normal years. Click the link to review the projects and sign up yourself, your friends and your family for some fun on the trails! You’ll get a confirmation email from GVLT with any further instructions about what to wear and any tools you can bring with you. Please consider walking or biking to the Tuckerman Park trailhead or your volunteer project site. You can log your miles for the Summer Trails Challenge kicking off on June 5th! Every mile you spend on the trails from June 5th through June 25th will be matched with $1 from community businesses. Thank you to the City of Bozeman, the Parks and Trails Maintenance District, Gallatin County and neighboring Home Owners Associations for their support of this year’s National Trails Day projects! Thank you for volunteering for National Trails Day! If you have questions about volunteer projects or the sign up form, please contact Matt Parsons, matt@gvlt.org.
