Qigong in the Park

As a part of our Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program, we have a fun, free movement series outside this summer (July- September, weather depending) at lunchtime in Lindley Park! Join us for Yoga on Tuesdays, Qigong on Wednesdays, and HIIT workout classes on Thursdays. Move your tails!

Join us for the gentle art of Qigong: an ancient practice of movements designed to increase flexibility, improve mental acuity, and promote longevity. This Chinese tradition is at least 4000 years old and is still incorporated into many current health practices and recommendations here and abroad as a preventative medicine and for self-healing.  Qigong (pronounced chee-gung) has benefits for users of all ages and all ages can participate. A yoga mat is not necessary, and all movements can be adapted to each individual. Qigong is often described as the art of effortless movement. It's hard to describe so come and enjoy this simple and powerful practice and see for yourself how transformative qigong can be.

BPL's own Barb Muller will be teaching and is excited to have recently earned her certificate in Therapeutic Qigong.  This class meets in Lindley Park to the east of the Library.
