The concert is a light-hearted program exploring a violinist known as ‘Little Ragamuffin.’ Giuseppe Valentini was a fascinating character as painter, poet, and composer. He succeeded Corelli, the great guru of Baroque musicians in Rome, and his music is in the same tradition of warm affection and beauty. This program is presented in an intimate setting similar to which it was originally intended, on baroque violins, cello, bassoon, and lute. Masks required regardless of vaccination status.
