We Are Still Here And This Is Our Story: Revisted Closing

Weaver Room
July 9 – September 3, 2021

The fight for recognition and support continues. Selected works from We are Still Here and This is Our Story are back for a final viewing before this impactful exhibit goes on tour to bring awareness to our nation’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) crisis. This MMIP crisis is prevalent and widespread in North America yet its significance has been diminished for far too long. Montana currently has the highest rate of missing and murdered Indigenous people in the United States.

Artists participating in the exhibit, but not on display: Della Big Hair Stump, Cedar Bulltail, Grace Bulltail, Wozek Chandler, Rebekah Jarvey, and Carrie Moran McCleary. Please Join us Friday, August 13 for a pop-up show featuring the works of these artists during Art Walk.

We invite you to visit these works, learn more about how MMIP, and support the efforts to raise awareness in your local community and worldwide.

All exhibits are free and open the public.  Thank you for wearing masks and respecting social distance guidelines with consideration for the Emerson community.
