Mindful Self-Compassion Course

The Mindful Self-Compassion course empowers you to: Practice mindfulness, self-compassion, and self-appreciation in daily life Motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism Become a warm, supportive companion to yourself and others Transform relationships, past and present ~ This research-based and nationally acclaimed course combines the skills of mindfulness, compassion and self-support to enhance emotional well-being and resilience. The course includes a workbook, short talks, experiential exercises, guided meditations, group discussion, and home practices; plus a 4-hour retreat on Saturday April 23rd. ~ MSC was developed by Dr. Christopher Germer and Dr. Kristin Neff, researchers in the field of self- compassion and has been offered internationally since 2012. This course is taught by US therapist Caroline Whisman-Blair, LCSW and Canadian therapist Andie Ashworth, RCSW. ~ The course includes 8 weekly sessions from 6:00-8:30 PM (MST) on Monday evenings, from March 14th through May 9th. The retreat for this course will be held on April 23 from 9:30am - 1:30pm. This course is offered to folks in the United States and Canada. Weekly courses will be held online via Zoom. 24 hours of CEUs are available for LCPCs and LCSWs alike. ~ Sliding-scale pricing: $450-$400-$310 *scholarships available ~ Register at www.openheartscounseling.org
